Arrival times & parking - on popular days, there will be queues of around 20 mins between 10 am and 12.30 pm. Cheap rate parking starts at 10 am, a number plate recognition is in place so please pay via RingGo app by midnight the same day.
Late arrivals & last minute bookings - you don't need to call us If you have paid online but arriving late. You can book up to 2 hrs before arrival.
Busy Periods - our booking system is the best way to get availability info and get the bikes you want. If we don't have spare bikes please call and we'll get you on our waiting list.
Trailers - we try to prepare these in advance, please add a note to the booking telling us which bike needs the trailer.
Part-day hire & discounts - we offer a 25% discount for part day hire - this can't be booked and is only available after 2:30 pm. 10% off for 2 days, 25% off for 3+ days. If collecting late on day 1, book from your 2nd day and ask us if a 5 pm collection is possible to avoid the first-day cost.

Do I need to book?

You should definitely book during school holidays and summer weekends or if you need a specific style of bike like an electric bike. Also, booking online will save you up to 30 minutes wait in store. We will refund you if you cancel 24 hrs before arrival.

Is there parking?

Yes, there is cheap parking in Brockenhurst Station. The cheapest rate starts at 10 am (weekdays & weekends). A number plate recognition is in place so please pay via the RingGo app by midnight the same day.

Is it mostly off-road cycling?

From Brockenhurst, you can access trails within 500 metres of our closest route and about 1-2 km of quiet lanes on other routes.

Are the trails signposted?

In the New Forest, all you will really see are trail post markers with numbers. But don’t worry, we offer maps and have also developed a free mobile guiding app showing our best routes. Just search for 'Cyclexperience' on the App Store or Google Play Store.

What equipment do you supply?

Helmets, locks and maps are free, but we also sell gloves and rainwear. Please wear suitable clothing that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty or ripped (if going on one of the more adventurous routes).

Do I need to be able to cycle?

It's quite helpful if you can but if not, try a tandem with a proficient rider in front for stability.

Can I get to you via train?

Brockenhurst is on a mainline station from London with plenty of regular stopping trains. The usual train journey from London to Brockenhurst is around 90 mins.

Are you easy to find?

We think so! Our New Forest centre is in the station car park on the south side of Brockenhurst Station, at the bottom of the ramp.

Do you deliver?

Technically, we deliver all over the country but for local rentals we prefer you come to us to ensure you get the correct size and style of bike. But we do deliver to some hotels so please call or email first.

Do you rent electric bikes?

Yes, we have an ever-growing fleet of electric bikes but be sure you bring a photo ID, a valid credit card for payment and deposit. Also, please ensure riders for e-bikes are aged over 14.

Will I see animals?

In the New Forest, it’s pretty much 100% guaranteed you will see ponies. Just make sure you look, don't touch and definitely don't share your lunch with them! You can normally see animals from our hire centre windows. You may also spot deer, donkeys and birds of prey. If you’re visiting in the autumn months, you may be lucky to see wild pigs during pannage season.

What if I’m late?

If you have paid online or over the phone, you don’t need to tell us you will be late. We are used to people getting stuck in traffic or missing trains. If you haven’t paid, then you should try and contact us as we will give out bikes from unpaid bookings when busy!

How long is the rental period?

Most people rent just for the day, returning by 5.30 pm but we do offer multi-day discounts if you prefer to keep the bikes for longer.

What if the bikes get stolen?

Loss is the responsibility of the hirer so we strongly recommend you stay with the bikes and never leave them unattended. If you stop for lunch, make sure the bikes are locked within your sight as bikes have been stolen from racks at pubs and cafes. We offer a free heavy-duty lock which limits your loss to 25% of the replacement cost.
