Lyndhurst

Lyndhurst is a popular tourist village, with many independent shops, art galleries, cafés, museums, pubs and hotels. Be careful of the traffic as it gets quite busy.

Places to Eat

The Oak Inn

The pub features on a few of our most popular family routes and is frequented by tourists and locals alike. It is not very big so please book ahead to avoid disappointment at busy times.

Pub named 'The Swan' with floral decorations on a sunny day.

The Swan Inn

A traditional country pub that is family & dog friendly. We recommend this pub if the Oak Inn is busy as it is only a short ride away but the path is next to the main road so expect passing traffic. Situated on the outskirts of Lyndhurst, there is normally space to sit and eat apart from really busy times of the year.

The New Forest Inn

The New Forest Inn can be reached on a couple of our routes but is also a good option when the Oak Inn nearby is busy. It has a traditional character and can be found at the bottom of the eastern road to Bolderwood in Emery Down.
